Weight Watchers New Ads

I absolutely love the new Weight Watchers commercials.  Some, however, have criticized them feeling apparently that they make fun of the obese.  Truthfully, I don’t see it that way.  These ads are real to me.

If you haven’t seen them I really recommend watching them.  They had a series of ads about “Help with the Hard Part.”

This one “If You’re Happy” sings about how we eat in response to emotion.  If you’re happy, have a snack or if you’re sad or if you’re stressed or if you’re lonely….

Then, there is the one titled, “My Butt” which, once again, I loved:

Or, this one touting Weight Watchers new (paid) personal coaching option. I loved the last shot in this video…

Or this Christmas video about holiday eating featuring The Holderness Family. This is obviously meant to be a parody, which some of those commenting apparently missed….

Truthfully, these videos would be far more likely to cause me to look into Weight Watchers than a Jessica Simpson (or other celebrity) commercial.

Weight Watchers sometimes seems to me to be mired in the past and just a bit old-fashioned and technologically backward. For once, they have commercials that seem like something from this millennium.

I like these, too! My (extremely thin & athletic) daughter didn’t get the World of Food one – I had to explain to her that when you’re trying to watch what you eat, it seems that every person around you has junk food and it makes it that much harder to resist. At that time we both look over at my hubby….who was at that moment shoving chips into his mouth.

I ADORE these ads. Thank you so much for sharing.

I learned about your blog on the WW forum (there’s a post about your beta tracker comments), and yours is the best weight loss blog I’ve run across.

    Thanks!
