I was down .4 pounds to get to 153.4 pounds, putting my total loss at 54 pounds. This was a good week from a food standpoint, but still didn’t feel well enough to exercise or move around much. I still have a cough, but am feeling much better so thinking this will be a much more active week.
I realize I am only 5.4 pounds away from not having to pay for Weight Watchers any more (I am a lifetime member and if I am not more than 2 pounds over my goal weight of 146, it will be free for me). I also am starting to think more about what my goals will be when I get to 146. I know that isn’t my totally final weight loss goal, but I also am not sure if I want to keep working on weight or whether I want to focus on some other things for awhile. We’ll see when I get there.
After our meeting, we went to lunch at a new place to us, The Counter. When I first came across it, I thought it wouldn’t have much for me as it is a gourmet burger type place and I don’t eat beef and don’t eat many sandwiches either. But, looking at the menu, I realized that they offered chicken and things other than beef (even bison!) and, even better, the “burgers” could be made in a bowl with greens and no bun. So I had a build your own burger in a bowl with chicken and goat cheese and veggies and a side of turkey chili (which was great). The meal was really good, fine on points, and did nothing bad to my blood sugar (of course, I didn’t have a bun and didn’t have fries). We will definitely be going back.
I’ve been planning out a series of posts talking about food and eating and my life history of how I’ve eaten and how it has changed over time. I’ve been doing a lot of reading (I love to read anyway and while I was sick it was about all I felt like doing) and coming to some conclusions about how I want to eat going forward. I hope to have up a post tomorrow talking about some of this.
