Good Weigh In

I weighed in and was down 1.2 pounds, to get to 150.6 pounds. Finally, 3 weeks after increasing my activity, I’ve weighed in showing a good loss.  And, this puts me less than 5 pounds away from getting to my WW goal, which is at the top of the healthy BMI range. We had lots of errands to run today and had too much to do in too little time, so we weighed in at the meeting but didn’t stay.  I don’t usually like to do that, but it was either do that or not weigh in at all.

As I posted yesterday in talking about April, the overall month was great.  Last week was also great. I exercised 5 out of 7 days with 481 total exercise minutes. On the days I exercised that was a little over an hour and a half.  On most of those days, however, some of that exercise was fairly light intensity exercise bike while I was reading.    I also got a little boost to my calorie burn from working on decluttering.  I was tired on Friday (yesterday) so took that off from exercise as well.

Last Saturday was my birthday and that day I took off from exercise and ate 1825 calories (per MFP).  My average calorie intake per day for the week, however, ended up just under 1200 calories a day.  I was really careful after my birthday to make sure that I stayed on track for the rest of the week.

May is going to be a challenging month from a food standpoint.  Tomorrow is my son’s 21st birthday and he wants to go to Pei Wei which is a challenge from a calorie standpoint and from a carbs standpoint.  I have a few things I’m considering and will probably get something stock velveted which does reduce calories quite a bit.  But, not sure yet.

Then, next weekend is Mother’s Day.  The last few years instead of going out with restaurants totally crowded we’ve gotten food as take out and brought it home and then watched movies. Two years ago we brought pizza in, last year it was barbeque.  I might do the barbeque again, but haven’t decided.

And, finally, we are going to a family wedding out of town later in the month. So I have lots of opportunity to work on challenging eating situations this month.
