I weighed in for November at 146 pounds, down .8 pounds from last month’s weigh in. On the one hand, I was really happy with this as it is the first time since February that I’ve weighed in actually at my goal weight of 146 pounds. Most of the time I’ve been free lifetime, but I was over my goal weight by a little. So it is great to be back to goal (I’ve been a bit below it at home but I always weigh a little more at the meeting since I am weighing with clothes).
On the other hand it was a little annoying. I basically didn’t go down at home during the last 10 days. The reason I was annoyed was that I ate really well over that period. I went and did my two sessions of exercise this week. I did some treadmill. So, it was disappointing to not really have a net loss during that period. I think part of it was that I had a really heavy strength training session on Thursday. Sometimes, that results in a little bit of water retention. And, while I ate well on Friday I was very inactive because I spent a lot of the day watching Blizzcon on my computer.
October has a whole ended up being a good month particularly since I went down .8 of a pound. It was a little more difficult in the early part of the month as I went out of town for my high school reunion and I had a lot of eating out events (3 times for my husband’s birthday, for example). I had a period of about 10 days early in the month when I was either out of town or didn’t feel well and didn’t exercise as a result. That didn’t help. But, for the last couple of weeks of the month I did much better. That said, I didn’t get in as many non-exercise steps in October as I did in September. Mostly, I think that was because I was doing a lot of stuff on my computer and wasn’t as diligent about getting up every hour and getting in some steps. That is a real goal of mine for November. Get more steps!
This is the time of year when I start thinking a lot about the new Weight Watchers program coming out in December. I don’t have any personal knowledge about the changes coming except it is public knowledge that Weight Watchers trademarked WW Freestyle which seems to be a name that will be used come December 3rd. Like many of us I have spent some time searching out rumors on the internet and there is some stuff out there. Much of it has a lot of commonality but there is enough variance out there that I don’t feel confident enough to post anything here. I don’t want to post something based upon rumor and have it turn out to be wrong. If the rumors are mostly correct, I am cautiously optimistic that I will like the changes. But, in the meantime, November is always a little bit difficult because I have that anticipation.
Of course later this month is when the Holiday Eating Season begins (Halloween was just an appetizer — I totally ignored it this year). So, I really want to do well on my eating for the next few weeks especially.
