I haven’t posted since my mid-June weigh in. And, that is because I’ve been sick most of the time. At the time I was glad I seemed back on track and I had a good weigh in. And, the next several days were fine. I was starting to get more active. I added steps every day and was getting ready to start going to the Y to work on strength training after a week or so of steps.
Then, on Wednesday evening (two Wednesdays ago) I started feeling bad. I had gone out during the day and had been in a building that was freezing. I never really feel that cold causes sickness, but I had to wonder this time. That evening my throat started hurting and I started aching all over. Now, I don’t usually get sick. In the last 5 years, I’ve maybe had a sore throat or cold a few times and usually it lasted a day or two. And, even then it is usually something where I just feel bad but I can mostly follow my usual routine.
Well, not this time. Within a day I was basically living in the bedroom. I wasn’t sleeping all day, but sitting upright in my desk chair was out of the question.
